Kat and Hash celebrated their wedding at Alfriston Gardens on 19 September 2026. Beneath the timber beams, white draping and hanging flowers, Sussex DJ Company set up the music and lighting for their evening party.
The last two songs were the Beatles, followed by Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. It is a small detail that says a lot about the value of planning the finish as well as the beginning of a wedding evening.
What made this wedding evening memorable?
The room had its own character before anyone stepped onto the dance floor. Warm fairy lights framed the DJ setup, while the flowers hung above the space. Later, the dance floor filled with guests under coloured lighting. These are the genuine moments shown in the photographs from the evening.
Kat and Hash both shared positive feedback afterwards. For Sussex DJ Company, that response is what matters most: the music should feel right to the people celebrating.
How do you choose the final songs for your wedding?
Think about the feeling you want at the end. You might prefer a familiar song everyone knows, something energetic, or a track that means something personal to you. Tell your DJ which matters most, and discuss how the preceding song will lead into it.
If you have a definite final song, make that clear during planning. It helps to separate songs you definitely want from suggestions, and to name anything you would rather avoid. Your DJ then has room to respond to the evening while respecting your priorities.
Agree the music finish time with your venue as well. That gives the last stretch of the party a clear shape and helps your chosen song land at the right moment.
