A riverside reception at Sussex Yacht Club
Sussex Yacht Club’s Shoreham clubhouse offers spaces for weddings, private parties and meetings. Its Stow’s function room is on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking the River Adur. The club lists a lift and onsite parking.
For a DJ booking, we still agree the actual supplier entrance, unloading space and equipment route with the venue. Guest access and equipment access can work differently. Tell us whether guests will use the balcony during the evening and where you would like the dance floor to sit, so the sound is planned for the party space.

Make dinner, speeches and dancing fit together
For a wedding or anniversary meal, let us know when service finishes and whether tables need to move before dancing. Background music should leave room for conversation; the evening set can then build when guests are ready.
Microphones for speeches or a short welcome can be included in the discussion. If a venue sound system must be used, we will check how our equipment connects. If you are adding a singer, saxophonist or band, share their requirements so the changeovers are agreed ahead of the event.
Your music, with room for a good request
Tell us the artists and genres that bring your group together, plus any tracks that should definitely be played or avoided. For weddings, plan the first dance and final song separately from the general party list. After booking, your private planning portal keeps these choices alongside the timings.

Can the music cover a balcony or outside area?
Tell us the area, the hours and the venue’s rules. Outdoor music needs a separate practical discussion about permissions, suitable equipment, power and weather; an indoor DJ setup does not automatically provide outdoor coverage.
